We haven’t skimped on quality – each X0 is made and tested in our lab in the UK. We’re using our previous experience with altimeters like Brilliant Pebbles and the X2 to identify core functionality and cut away unnecessary features. Fewer features means fewer things that can go wrong.

Finally, we’ve also developed new technologies to lower the cost of making arm mounts.

It displays 3 digits (plus an optional decimal point) in a high-contrast, sunlight readable screen. The numbers are large, clear, and easy to read.

• Below 1000 (feet or metres) it will display the altitude as 0 to 999.
• Above 1000 (feet or metres) it will display as 1.00, 1.01, and so on.
• Above 10000 (feet or metres) it will display as 10.0, 10.1, and so on.

The X0’s numbers are comparable in size to other entry-level altimeters on the market (approximately 12mm high). The numbers are much easier to read because:

• the screen is very high contrast
• the high-resolution font is easier to read than a seven-segment LCD font.
